Attending a college or university out of India is a very exciting time for many young people. Whether students are going to the United Kingdom or a European school, or if they are going to Canada or the United States or any other country in the world, Fastway Worldwide Express, India, is here to help.
We offer a special rate and a range of services to help students in their location efforts. Unfortunately, when going abroad traveling and moving all your possessions may be even more difficult than getting into your school, particularly if you are traveling on a budget.
The Cost Problem
The biggest problem that most students experience is the cost of bringing all their belongings on the plane. Airlines will allow only two bags with a weight of 64kgs combined for international flights across the Atlantic Ocean, and only 23kgs for travel to most other areas of the world.
Typically, students will find that their personal items will far exceed those very low weight limitations before the extra baggage fees start to accumulate. These can be extremely cost prohibitive, so we offer special rates on excess baggage services to help to reduce those costs.
How it Works
With the excess baggage services we offer, students may choose to pack items themselves, or we can provide the service. When the bags are packed by the students or their families, we offer owner packed insurance, which is typically the most cost-effective for students.
For those traveling with more valuable items we offer the option for our professional staff to pack the items, and the student is then free to choose the all risk insurance for full coverage due to loss, theft, damage or breakage.
Once packed for pickup by our staff at the student’s residence, the baggage is then shipped to any designated address. This may be the home or business of a friend or family member in a location close to the school, or it may be a designated person or department at the college or university where it will be held until the student arrives to pick it up. The delivery at the destination location will be completed by one of our international partners, which include DHL, TNT, FedEx and UPS.
The cost of our excess baggage services is significantly lower than what is offered by the airlines. We can also work with the student to ensure the delivery coordinates with their arrival, ensuring they have their necessary possessions when they first get to their school.
